IT Systems & Technology Lead – Stellenbosch. Duties and Responsibilities: Own and optimise the organisation’s business systems, data environment, and automation strategy. Translate business and operational requirements into scalable system and technology solutions. Design and maintain an integrated technology ecosystem across platforms and departments. Oversee data structure, integrity, and integration across databases and business systems. Manage system integrations, APIs, and data flows between key platforms. Provide strategic oversight of core business systems and identify opportunities for optimisation. Lead automation and AI initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes. Oversee development of internal tools, portals, and system integrations (non-hands-on). Manage internal and external developers, vendors, and technology partners. Build and maintain reporting frameworks, dashboards, and business intelligence tools. Ensure accurate, real-time data insights to support business decision-making. Drive project delivery, system improvements, and technology-enabled business growth. Requirements: 8–10 years’ experience in a systems, technology, or solutions-focused role. Strong experience translating business needs into technical system solutions. Advanced understanding of databases, data structures, and SQL. Experience with systems integration, APIs, and software development principles.Strong development and programming knowledge (front-end and back-end understanding). Experience managing developers, technical teams, or external vendors. Strong project management and problem-solving abilities. Experience with automation tools and AI in business environments. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS (advantageous). Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or similar reporting tools (advantageous). Programming experience in languages such as Python (advantageous). Degree or diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. Strong commercial awareness and ability to align systems with business goals. Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
