Operations Manager job vacancy in Stellenbosch. Duties and Responsibilities: Establish and manage a transport broking division in Zambia focused on African operations (excluding South Africa). Oversee daily operations and lead the local logistics team. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery. Drive business growth through budgeting, planning, and recruitment. Supervise, train, and develop a high-performing logistics team. Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Resolve operational issues and maintain strong service levels. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Use logistics systems and technology to improve operational efficiency and visibility. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (advantageous). Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain management. Strong knowledge of logistics within the African market. Experience in cross-border logistics and clearing (essential/advantageous depending on role level). Proven leadership and team management experience. Strong strategic planning and operational execution skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment.
