Deadline: 12 June 2026 Salary: R Annual Package Employment Type: Full time Contract: Three‑year fixed‑term Main Purpose of the Job Ensure Occupational Health and Safety implementation optimisation, coordination and compliance with legal and world best practices in Occupational Risk Management. Roles and Responsibilities Implement incident reporting systems and procedures. Draw up implementation monitoring and control systems. Coordinate periodic audits and workplace inspections at Technical Services depots. Compile periodic statistical information and reports. Evaluate all programmes and procedures periodically. Conduct departmental incident investigations and report to the OHS office. Check the safety file of contractors prior to the commencement of construction. Assess and approve contractor’s health and safety plan. Participate in project meetings from planning until the end. Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures and systems. Provide advice to line at Technical Services. Liaise with internal and external professional bodies and stakeholders. Qualifications and Requirements National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety. Degree in Occupational Health and Safety an added advantage. 2–3 years of relevant experience. Registered with a professional body (e.g., SACPCMP and/or Saiosh). Computer literacy, especially Windows, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Valid Driver’s Licence. Knowledge of relevant legislations such as Skills Development, Employment Equity and Basic Conditions of Employment Acts. Good communication skills. Interpersonal relations.
