Overview Flash 2026/05/26 Western Cape Job Reference Number: F281 Department: Finance Business Unit: Industry: Fintech Job Type: Permanent Positions Available: 1 Salary: Market Related We are looking for a Financial Controller for Financial reporting, who will be responsible for preparing and delivering accurate quarterly financial reports to the listed Parent company in accordance with IFRS and regulatory requirements. The role includes ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring integrity, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items. Responsibilities Contribute to preparing the Quarterly reporting packs Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes Ownership of the fixed asset register Assist in financial analysis of divisions Inventory accounting and ownership of inventory related reconciliations Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. Liaise with the Financial Manager to improve monthly reporting packs Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on Inventory and fixed assets Handle queries and concerns related to fixed assets and inventory Stay updated with industry best practices and introduce process improvements as necessary Minimum Requirements 7+ years of experience in financial control and management (This can be inclusive of articles etc) Completed BCom degree in Finance and possibly Honours/CA (advantageous) Formal training in Accounting and VAT Expertise in financial reporting and compliance Proven track record in managing financial teams Advanced Excel (not negotiable) Knowledge of SAGE (preferable) Required Knowledge / Technical Skills Financial control and reporting proficiency Regulatory compliance expertise Budgeting and forecasting proficiency Proven track record in managing financial teams Knowledge & ability to identify risk in projects SAP (advantageous) Caseware (advantageous) Competencies / Attributes Effective communication and presentation skills Eagerness to learn and grow in the financial management field Skilled communicator with the ability to report and motivate to executives and clearly communicate with team members across departments Team management and leadership skills Strong attention to detail Accountability and ownership of tasks Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks which can change Problem solving mindset Ability to build and work with cross-functional teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
