This is an incredible opportunity for a culinary professional who thrives in a high‑end, remote island environment and is committed to delivering exceptional guest dining experiences. The successful candidate will support the Executive Chef in maintaining the highest culinary standards, ensuring consistency, creativity, and excellence across all food offerings while leading and inspiring a dedicated kitchen team. Key Responsibilities Maintain high standards of professionalism within the kitchen team Provide disciplined, inspirational leadership and drive kitchen productivity Ensure all financial controls, stock systems, and record‑keeping are strictly followed Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning and food quality standards Monitor food costs, budgets, and performance targets Attend daily HOD meetings and coordinate operational planning (arrivals, departures, maintenance, guest requests, special events) Ensure full compliance with health & safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards Oversee uniform standards and staff presentation Manage ordering within budget and cost per head requirements Oversee month‑end stock takes and inventory control Ensure smooth daily kitchen and staff canteen operations Implement and maintain cleaning rosters in line with local regulations Maintain accurate records of staff leave, rosters, and schedules (in absence of Executive Chef) Facilitate strong communication between kitchen, lodge management, guest relations, and butler teams Requirements Formal culinary qualification essential Minimum 2+ years’ Sous Chef experience in a 5‑star luxury environment Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure Strong understanding of hospitality operations (kitchen, service, housekeeping coordination) Computer literate Passion for guest experience and high‑end cuisine Personal Attributes Passion for food and creating memorable dining experiences Strong interpersonal and communication skills Positive, energetic, and team‑focused attitude Ability to train, mentor, and inspire others Highly organised, disciplined, and self‑motivated Professional appearance and excellent work ethic This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven culinary professional to be part of a world‑class island hospitality environment, delivering unforgettable guest experiences in a breathtaking location.
