Chemistry Lab Assistant (For Current SCC Students Only) Position Title: Chemistry Lab Assistant (For Current SCC Students Only) Shift: Day/Evening Supervisor: Robin Narehood Location: Main Campus (Dobson) Job Description – Summary General lab and stockroom maintenance; including cleaning up and assisting instructors in preparing class demonstrations, documents, and procedures. * Students must be enrolled in AT LEAST 6 credit hours to qualify for the FWS Program. * This is a part-time opportunity. Students may work up to 15 hours per week, depending on their unmet need on their FAFSA. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Federal Work Study is federally funded need based aid to assist students with the cost of attending college. This listing is intended for students that will attend Surry Community College during the academic year and have need determined by the federal government. Qualifications General Qualifications: Applicant must be at least 16 years or older and have taken at least one semester of chemistry. Required Qualifications: Applicant must have the ability to work 5 or more hours per week. Preferred Qualifications: One semester of biology (preferred but not required).
