Responsibilities Develop & execute account plans to maintain & enhance Alcon's market share within the Surgical Disposable and IOL segment. Regularly engage with existing accounts to build strong, lasting relationships and understand their needs and challenges. Identify & pursue new business opportunities within the ophthalmology market. Proactively seek potential clients and establish connections with key decision‑makers to promote Alcon products and services. Implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets & maximize sales growth. Analyse market trends, competitor activities & customer preferences to adapt & refine strategies for better performance. Provide product demonstrations, training sessions & educational materials to clients & healthcare professionals to showcase the benefits & features of Alcon products. Ensure that customers are well‑informed about product updates and advancements. Cultivate strong relationships with ophthalmologists & other medical professionals involved in the decision‑making process. Understand unique needs and preferences to tailor solutions that meet their requirements. Actively participate in conferences, seminars & industry events to promote Alcon products and create brand awareness. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials & campaigns. Conduct regular market research & analysis to identify new opportunities & potential growth areas. Stay informed about industry trends & advancements in ophthalmic technology. Maintain accurate & up‑to‑date sales records, customer profiles & activity reports. Prepare regular sales forecasts & performance reports for management review. Provide exceptional post‑sales support to ensure customer satisfaction & address any issues or concerns promptly. Collaborate with other divisions of business, including Surgical Equipment Manager, Clinical Applications Specialist, Customer Service support & Technical Services Team to resolve territory‑related challenges & opportunities. Qualifications Education/Background: Health sciences or Optometrist or Sales bachelor’s degree. Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in surgical sales field. Language: English (good level) + Afrikaans (plus). Strong self‑motivation, teamwork, problem‑solving, organizational skills & ability to work under pressure.
