Duties: Lead and optimise billing operational processes across multiple collection streams Analyse operational data and reporting to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities Reconcile and synchronise information across operational systems and platforms Ensure accurate financial records and timely month-end billing close processes Drive billing and collections strategies aimed at improving performance Identify system issues and collaborate with IT teams to drive solutions Represent the department in projects and stakeholder forums Ensure strong operational controls and risk mitigation processes are in place Manage operational issues and develop sustainable solutions Support and lead project-based initiatives and process improvement opportunities Build resource plans and ensure departmental objectives are achieved Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) Qualification in Business, Operations Management or related field advantageous Experience: Proven experience in an Operations Management role Strong insurance industry experience Strong understanding of banking environments, debit orders, and payment systems Experience with digital collections and payment solutions Strong exposure to DebiCheck and authenticated collections Experience developing billing and debit order strategies Strong project management exposure Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools Advanced Microsoft Excel capability Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and executive teams Advanced Excel skills Strong reporting and analytical capability Exposure to QlikView, SQL, or similar analytical tools advantageous Strong reconciliation experience Process design and requirements scoping experience Strong understanding of operational risk and controls Project and IT implementation exposure Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and people management capability Excellent stakeholder management skills Strong communication across all levels of business Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Highly analytical and solutions driven Strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills Ability to connect information quickly and make informed decisions Strong process improvement mindset Self-motivated and proactive Excellent attention to detail Deadline-driven with strong prioritisation skills If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
