Protection & Recovery Agent (Vehicle Recoveries, Nationally) Listing reference: cartr_ Listing status: Under Review Apply by: 17 January 2026 Position summary Job category: Other: Safety and Security Location: Rosebank Contract: Permanent EE position: No Introduction Found, a leading vehicle tracking and stolen vehicle recovery business, using advanced tracking technology with specialised air and ground recovery teams seeks a tactical and level-headed Protection & Recovery Agent to join its team of experienced and skilled security personnel.This role involves responding to vehicle theft incidents, conducting safe and effective recoveries, protecting customers and company assets, and coordinating closely with the control room and law enforcement. Provide rapid and effective ground response with the objective of maximising the recovery rate and provide the customer with excellent service. Monitor and respond to real-time tracking alerts received from the control room or clients. Use GPS tracking systems to locate and follow stolen or hijacked vehicles. Maintain continuous communication with the control room during recovery operations. Conduct follow-ups on signal losses, tampering alerts, and suspicious movements. Coordinate and execute recovery operations in collaboration with law enforcement and private recovery units. Attend to recovery scenes as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Provide accurate, timely updates on recovery progress to the control room and management. Assist with securing recovered vehicles and arranging towing or storage. Complete detailed recovery reports after each operation. Provide personal protection from time to time as requested. Business Competency in handgun / “Machine Carbine” 3 years Security armed response experience i.e. police, army, metro police, security officer, cash-in-transit officer, etc. Vehicle Tracking and Recovery experience - advantageous Tactical experience - advantageous Ability to work in a highly stressful environment Excellent organisational skills Valid PSIRA Grade C - minimum Business Competency in handgun / “Machine Carbine” Valid Code EB drivers’ license Armed response course - preferred 3 years Security armed response experience i.e. police, army, metro police, security officer, cash-in-transit officer, etc. Vehicle Tracking and Recovery experience - advantageous Tactical experience - advantageous Ability to work in a highly stressful environment Good communication skills Excellent organisational skills Required to work 12 consecutive hour shifts, 3 days followed by 3 nights & 3 days off #J-18808-Ljbffr
