ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER Location: Pretoria Salary: R40 000 R50 000 CTC per month Position Type: Permanent Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 8am 5pm Training Provided We are seeking a skilled and driven Electrical Project Engineer to join a dynamic F&B and Electrical Department. The successful candidate will take ownership of project scheduling, procurement coordination, technical documentation, and site execution management from project kick-off through to FAT and final handover. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong individual with excellent organisational and leadership abilities who thrives in fast-paced industrial and automation environments. Minimum Requirements: NDip/BTech or BEng in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering essential (no exceptions) 35 years experience in an electrical project or industrial automation environment Experience with project scheduling, documentation, and drawing control Proven ability to manage and direct technical teams on site Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure Must have own reliable transport Valid drivers licence required Must be willing to attend a practical interview process Advantageous Experience: FMCG / Food & Beverage sector project experience PLC, E&I, or control systems exposure Eplan or electrical drafting software exposure International project delivery experience Panel building, commissioning, and FAT experience Required Skills & Competencies: Strong communication skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities Strong attention to detail Problem-solving mindset Ability to work independently and within a team Customer-focused approach Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Computer literacy in MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, and MS Project Proficient in Excel and Sage Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage detailed project schedules aligned with client and internal requirements Generate and review electrical design drawings Manage drawing revisions and documentation control Compile project databooks for quality inspections and FAT Coordinate and direct daily activities of technicians and apprentices on site Prepare procurement packages, obtain quotations, approve orders, and expedite material deliveries Monitor project budgets and manage scope changes and ECRs Liaise with suppliers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are achieved Provide structured project progress updates to senior management Ensure projects are completed according to quality and safety standards This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Electrical Project Engineer looking to grow within a professional industrial and automation environment while working on exciting technical projects.
