Deputy Director (3-Year Contract) Centre for Social Development The Centre for Social Development invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team. Main Objectives To support and work closely with the Director of the Centre for Social Development (CSD) in leading and managing the CSD. Responsible for aligning Community Development strategically with the overall strategy of the CSD. The CSD must ensure that the community development function is integrated academically with the institution, the Faculty of Education, and the CSD. Requirements At least an Honours Degree relevant to Education, Social or Community Development (Master’s will be an advantage). At least 3 years of relevant field experience, including: Early childhood development and/or community development work Management of staff and programmes with a strong track record of delivery Financial management and working with budgets Fundraising with a successful track record in conceptualising new proposals, maintaining productive relations with funders and meeting funding requirements Supervisory experience of at least 3 years at a middle management level Valid driver’s licence Experience in a non‑profit organisation would be advantageous Remuneration Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R849,546.00 Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R1,098,433.00 Closing Date 17 June 2026 Equal Employment Opportunity Recognising that diversity is important in achieving excellence.
