Vacancy: External / Client-facing Accountant Location: George Full-time | Market related salary We are seeking a skilled, detailed orientated and client-facing accounting professional to join our team in George or Cape Town on a full-time basis. Key Requirements: BCom Accounting with Honours Completed articles 3 to 5 years' relevant experience Consultancy or financial industry experience will be beneficial Trust experience will be beneficial Management experience or relevant managerial experience Must be able to work under pressure Knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SME’s Key Responsibilities: Conducting thorough account processing until the trial-balance stage. Preparing customized reports to effectively communicate the current financial status. Supervising the recording of entries in asset, liability, and capital accounts. Ensuring accurate maintenance of audit documentation records. Providing recommendations for financial actions based on comprehensive analysis of options. Establishing and upholding accounting controls by preparing and suggesting policies and procedures. Supporting and guiding accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and addressing inquiries. Reconciling financial discrepancies to ensure accuracy. Upholding financial security by enforcing internal controls. Overseeing payments by verifying documentation and initiating disbursements. Ensuring compliance with financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions. Conducting trend analysis to facilitate strategic planning. Maintaining customer confidence and safeguarding operations by preserving the confidentiality of financial information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
