Recruitment Manager – Doctors Without Borders (MSF-SA) Position: Recruitment Manager – Permanent role. Reports to: MSF Southern Africa HR Director. Location: Johannesburg. Salary: R 48 209,76 per month. Employment type: Full time. Start date: ASAP. Purpose of the Role The Recruitment Manager will oversee the entire recruitment process, from demand analysis and awareness through to conversion, assessments and induction. The role designs and modifies recruitment policies, records metrics, supervises the recruitment team and monitors performance. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan and develop short- and medium-term strategies to meet recruitment objectives. Engage with section management, operational coordinators and development teams to determine human resources needs. Coordinate with career managers to anticipate hiring needs and develop recruitment strategies in advance. Analyse the current pool of talent, develop and implement policies and procedures to improve results. Coordinate recruitment tracking and reporting activities across FHR and the Head Office and recommend tool, method and workflow improvements. Provide regular recruitment data analysis, coordinate sharing sessions with FHR and the Head Office, and influence teams toward improved outcomes. Maintain accurate recruitment records and produce monthly and other specialised reports. Plan awareness and branding strategies, develop means and resources, and execute initiatives that attract candidates. Participate in recruitment networks and platforms to influence potential candidates. Manage the administration of all recruitment records. Analyze recruitment data, monitor impacts and quality, and provide recommendations in monthly reports. Develop, review and manage the annual recruitment budget. Draft and present recruitment annual plans aligned with department strategy. Raise awareness and outreach to target groups. Recommend recruitment promotion strategies to FHR and the Head Office. Maintain contacts with professional associations, universities and educational institutions. Carry out recruitment outreach campaigns and events with support from the Communications Department. Develop promotional recruitment materials in consultation with Communications. Build networks and communication channels with applicants; organise presentations; maintain contacts. Supervise end-to-end recruitment and selection, including CV screening, competency-based interviews, and intake facilitation. Ensure effective communication with candidates and provide necessary documents and information. Maintain and update the Recruitment HR Software. Collaborate with the Communications Department to audit and update the recruitment website and content. Work with career managers and unit managers to prioritize the right profiles. Recommend new recruitment innovations. Ensure a proper handover to the HR team. Remuneration and Resources Annual salary: R 48 209,76 per month. 13th paycheck in November. 100 % medical‑aid contribution. 10 % additional pension allowance. Transport allowance. Qualifications and Requirements Graduate degree in Human Resources or a related field. 3 to 5 years of professional recruitment experience, at strategic and practical levels. Excellent knowledge of recruitment metrics and analytics tools. Analytical skills to evaluate the recruitment cycle and provide recommendations. In-depth understanding of OC recruitment policy, procedures and labour legislation. Experience in staff management. Desirable: experience in recruitment management and technical knowledge of recruitment processes. Substantial experience managing the recruitment cycle.
