Position Overview The Electrical Engineer will oversee strategic electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The role involves conducting design reviews with specialist teams to validate system integrity, leading project execution, and maintaining high standards through rigorous quality audits. The engineer will take charge of project coordination, manage technical resources, and drive innovation while upholding industry best practices and safety regulations. Primary Responsibilities Plant Maintenance Provide leadership in line with company values Deliver best‑practice maintenance at BSB Develop and maintain the maintenance business plan Measure, review, and improve maintenance KPIs to meet targets Develop and implement the maintenance budget and report cost performance relative to budget and forecast Accurately forecast CAPEX and OPEX Manage the implementation of smaller projects Facilitate OE activities and improvements in line with reliability strategy Champion idea generation within the team Ensure plant modifications are adequately risk assessed through management of change Maintain plant work management procedures in line with safety values Ensure management and integrity of the computerized maintenance management system (CMM) Projects, CI & Plant Optimization Drive improvement projects toward enhancing business operations Optimize processes, investigate, and conduct feasibility studies Project Management Manage projects with regard to processes, technology, and equipment Evaluate and complete projects with minimum risk, within allocated timeframe, and according to specified budgetary requirements Provide input and focus on projects and the project team Provide regular updates to stakeholders Effective Staff Supervisors Create structures for project execution, monitor and track progress Complete individual implementation timeously Communicate project activities to optimize the application of resources and staff Manage team performance of operational initiatives and stakeholders concerning project initiatives Manage and coordinate ad‑hoc and/or ongoing BI initiatives Review and update of standards and procedures Maintain an optimized team structure manned by motivated staff led by sound performance management and transformational leadership practices Promote teamwork, provide support, and manage performance by creating and maintaining individual development plans of subordinates Oversee all recruitment and HR‑related activities of reporting staff Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the manager (direct superior) Compliance Ensure and maintain a healthy environment, safe operation, and practices Comply with SHEC and technical requirements, in line with Plant Availability targets, implementing SHEC programs and ensuring adherence to all relevant statutory requirements with regard to MHSA and other applicable laws and charters Monitor, identify, and respond to defects and/or sub‑standard equipment performance and other improvement opportunities Customer and Client Relationship Management Support core business by ensuring appropriate stakeholder relationships towards enhancing the corporate profile Manage internal and external relations, including the interface with external providers or other functions responsible to ensure that the business needs are met and employees are satisfied Represent the company at applicable forums Provide relevant and specialized support to applicable stakeholders Qualifications & Experience B Eng, BSc (Eng) degree, B Tech. (Electrical Engineering) Computer literate – MS Office and MS Projects ECSA Professional Registration (Advantage) Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering design and construction Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management and Supervision Knowledge & Skills Fluent in English Code B driver’s license Experience in a mining or similar environment: Running of small to medium projects Conducting project feasibility studies Construction management Good knowledge of project management processes Personal Attributes Confident, tenacious, innovative, self‑motivated, responsible, team player, adaptable, analytical, client‑oriented, pro‑active, strongly oriented towards excellence in project management, results driven and able to work under pressure.
