The primary purpose of this role is to design, develop and maintain signal and pulse processing algorithms for the Radar Warning Receiver Sub systems as well as the implementation, simulation and testing of these algorithms. Analysis of data sampled in real scenarios to improve and mature the design and implementation. Responsibilities Design and support the development of radar signal processing algorithms and implementation in embedded C++. Perform data exploration of radar sensor data to solve signal processing problems. Research and design new algorithms to improve signal processing. Analysis of test data, design verification using the actual system. Synchronization of HW, SW and radar signal processing to ensure consistency of designs. Radar Pulse analysis and modelling that includes antenna, receiver, transmitter, signal processing, tracking, environmental effects. Requirements analysis, requirement allocation, traceability, verification methods. Flight scenario creation based on customer requirements to prove signal processing performance. Experience 8-10 years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering R&D and product development environment. Experience in the design of Radar Warning systems and/or lower-level components will be an advantage. Experience in the Digital Receiver domain will be an advantage. Software Development experience in the Radar Warning domain will be an advantage. Experience working with Radar signal and pulse processing. Knowledge Strong mathematical background. Excellent understanding of Radar Pulse characteristics. Radar Pulse Processing. Pulse Compression. Doppler Pulse Processing. Multi-functional Radar Pulse Processing. Pulse extracting from Commercial Signal Noise environment for Pulsed and CW radar systems. Good understanding of signal processing (FFT, IFFT, decimation, interpolation, convolution etc.). Data management – Data reduction, Data clustering, Dara extraction Competencies Signal Processing. Systems Engineering. Requirement Analysis. Modern Radar Theory and Practice. Matlab Advanced. Qualification BEng or equivalent (Electronics). Electronic Warfare Knowledge and Experience will be an advantage Skills Critical thinking and problem solving. Teamwork and collaboration.
