Job Description This role presents an opportunity for a commercially aware and technically strong actuary to gain exposure across multiple business units and geographies within the OUTsurance Group. The Internal Audit Actuary is responsible for delivering independent, risk-based assurance over actuarial environments within the Group. It is well suited to an actuary who can work independently, navigate new environments and who enjoys variety. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the actuarial audit universe allowing for new legislation, emerging risks and stakeholder needs. Develop and maintain the annual risk-based actuarial audit plan allowing for regulatory requirements, emerging risks, and stakeholder needs. Plan, execute, and report on actuarial audits across the OUTsurance Group, including local and international entities for both Short Term and Long-Term Insurance. Build and maintain relationships with key actuarial and business stakeholders. Perform risk-based reviews covering a variety of areas (e.g. Reserving, Capital, Pricing and Underwriting, ORSA and Stress testing, Actuarial Governance and HAF compliance). Represent Internal Audit in various committees and Actuarial Forums. Perform quarterly tracking and validation of actuarial audit findings. Support and contribute to broader Internal Audit engagements (e.g. operational, financial, or IT audits) should actuarial expertise be required. Engage with the Head of Actuarial Function, External Audit and non-executive directors of the Board Audit Committee as needed. Qualifications Minimum 6-8 years actuarial experience. Qualified Actuary preferred, CERA designation advantageous. Prior Internal Audit or Risk Management experience advantageous. Experience in both Short and/or long-term insurance advantageous. High level of professional skepticism and attention to detail. Strong risk awareness and control mindset. Ability to work independently and navigate complex, unfamiliar environments. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Methodical and well-documented approach to ensure audit work is robust, repeatable, and defensible. Ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to a non-technical audience. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
