Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage our daily accounting operations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of either US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP), providing accurate, timely financial data to support our business growth. This role involves managing accounts, ensuring tax compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to management. Job Responsibilities Financial Record Management: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements, in compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS. Reconciliation & Compliance: Perform bank reconciliations, monitor AP/AR, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, or UK tax regulations. Tax & Payroll: Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll, ensuring compliance with local laws. Analysis & Budgeting: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring to identify opportunities for cost savings. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience of 3-5 years as an Accountant or similar role. Knowledge: Strong, demonstrable understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP). Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, SAP). Certification: CPA (for US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (for UK) is preferred. Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
