REQUIREMENTS A relevant B. Degree or Diploma (NQF 7) in Accounting, Auditing, or Financial Management Approximately 6 years of experience in financial and management accounting, where such experience includesAt least 3 years of experience working with and maintaining the general ledger structure At least 3 years of supervisory or management of staff Budget preparation and variance analysis, including reporting and investigations Developing product/ service/ departmental costs within a costing/ cost accounting framework Applying financial and cost accounting principles in the development and control of costs Advanced computer literacy, especially in MS Excel, and experience with ERP systems Experience in a higher education environment will be an advantage RESPONSIBILITIES Provide cost and management accounting support to the finance division and the university Enable and enhance financial control and decision-making by management, through the development of budgets and forecasts, preparation and analysis of management accounts, costing activities and benchmarking, and engagement with stakeholders
