Group Account Director / Relationship Director Expat position based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role in one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving markets in the South Pacific. We are seeking an experienced Group Account Director / Relationship Director to lead and grow a well‑established operation in Papua New Guinea. This role combines strategic client leadership, commercial growth, and hands‑on operational oversight within a high‑performing, full‑service marketing and advisory environment. You will inherit a business with strong foundations and play a key role in shaping its next phase of growth. This is a senior, highly visible leadership position with responsibility across client relationships, team leadership, and commercial performance. This is not a traditional corporate General Manager role. It is hands‑on, relationship‑driven, and suited to someone who enjoys being close to both clients and execution. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple regions and play a central role in driving performance and growth. Key Responsibilities Lead relationships with major corporate clients Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (CMO, CEO, Board level) Ensure high levels of service delivery and client satisfaction Business Growth Identify and convert new business opportunities Grow existing accounts through deeper engagement Contribute to revenue growth and overall commercial performance Team & Culture Lead and develop a high‑performing local team Build trust and credibility within a diverse workforce Drive performance, capability development, and culture Operational Oversight Ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations Maintain quality across all service lines Solve problems quickly in a fast‑moving environment Regional Collaboration Work closely with offshore teams Align local operations with broader strategy Contribute to leadership planning and growth initiatives What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months) Build strong internal and external relationships Strengthen and grow key client accounts Deliver measurable commercial growth Embed into the local market and culture About You Experience in a marketing agency OR client‑side marketing leadership role Strong understanding of marketing strategy, campaigns, and delivery Experience managing teams and complex client portfolios Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders Commercially astute and relationship‑driven Hands‑on, adaptable, and solutions‑focused Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, less structured environments Resilient with a strong ownership mindset Location & Lifestyle This is a residential role based in Port Moresby (not FIFO).
