Role Overview The Candidate Attorney will complete their articles under the guidance of senior attorneys and partners, gaining hands‑on experience across different legal disciplines. The role requires a diligent, organized, and eager‑to‑learn individual with strong research, drafting, and client service capabilities. Key Responsibilities Assist attorneys with legal research, case preparation, and drafting of legal documents. Attend consultations, court proceedings, and mediations when required. Prepare and manage court bundles, indexing, filing, and document collation. Draft pleadings, affidavits, letters, contracts, and memoranda. Liaise with clients, counsel, and external stakeholders in a professional manner. Manage administrative tasks such as file management, document tracking, and diary updates. Conduct legal analysis and support litigation, conveyancing, or commercial matters (based on rotation or firm structure). Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with legal and ethical standards. Minimum Requirements Completed LLB degree from a recognised institution. Must be eligible to register and commence articles in accordance with the Legal Practice Council (LPC) requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent legal research and drafting ability. Attention to detail, professionalism, and strong organisational skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Proficiency in MS Office and legal research platforms. Preferred Attributes Interest in litigation, commercial law, or conveyancing. Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
