Job Purpose The primary purpose of this role is to drive sales and marketing initiatives aimed at increasing brand awareness, generating demand, and expanding distribution within the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities Sales and growth in market share are increased through targeted sales and marketing activities. Generate sales from existing customers. Implement call plan. Deals and discounts negotiated within agreed parameters. Customer queries and problems resolved. Increased sales volumes negotiated within allocated sales area. New listings and sales targets achieved as per sales plan. Calls and sales volumes recorded on standard daily working sheets and PDA. Weekly and monthly sales and ad hoc promotions reports submitted on time according to agreed format on PDA. Implement sales and marketing strategy effectively. Implement visibility agreement and identify additional visibility opportunities. Product availability/distribution targets implemented. Maintain merchandising standards. Implement segmentation tool (PDA). Arrange and execute promotions according to the promotions plan. Manage promotional stock, staff and point of sale for promotions. Set up promotions according to set criteria and on time. Provide feedback on promotion outcomes to sales management by agreed deadline. Develop brand equity through promotions that reflect brand appropriate look and feel. Engage consumers through events and promotions. Train bar staff to promote the brand. Develop relationships with equity accounts, re‑distributors, and venue owners. Generate new business and follow up on leads with sales managers. Identify business opportunities to sell product range. Procure required documentation for opening new accounts and follow up. Maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate with merchandisers to maintain merchandising standards and exploit ad hoc opportunities. Develop collaborative relationships with the PRSA and re‑distributors. Ensure correct and timely capture of orders, out‑of‑stock information, and on‑hold account data. Collaborate with the Regional Promotions Manager for promotion setup. Identify new trends. Minimum Educational Requirements and Work Experience National Diploma or Degree qualification with commerce, sales and marketing preferable. At least 3‑5 years’ experience in the liquor industry or within an FMCG environment. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Rep area coverage: Umhlanga, Ballito, Umhloti, Salt Rock and Sibaya. Language: English and Afrikaans.
