To ensure and ambassador customs compliance and maintain the company’s accredited status when performing responsibilities and interacting with suppliers, clients and SARS, and to ensure that the correct procedures are followed to achieve operating efficiencies within the department in support to the import and export departments and the company’s obligation to offering a service to its clients. Key Performance Areas Complete either 20 entries per day / 200 lines per day and maintain an overall equal average share of entries and share of lines per month. Ensure error rate is below 1% Verify that all documents are present and loaded to eDocs prior to beginning the entry-framing process. All incomplete entries must be rejected and ROP to OPS to rectify. Follow internal department procedures in respect of query resolution, quality assurance and approvals processes before entry is submitted to Customs. Correctly classify commodities shown on supplier's invoice using either the parts library, Commercial Invoice description or Tariff book. Comply with Customs (Legislative) requirements by ensuring all permits, rebates, certificates, etc are available, on record and timeously obtained from the customer/controller. Attend to customs stops / detentions and follow up on all relevant stop notes until these are finalised and closed out - ensure that escalation is applied to cases until finalised Verify No of pieces of Invoice, Packing list and Transport document Verify SOB and ETA dates Ensure correct currency is utilised Ensure correct COO is used as per packing list / invoice Ensure all queries are resolved timeously with internal and external stakeholders. All issues must be escalated to superiors as soon as it is identified. Customer commitments are met and exceeded Productivity at an acceptable level Minimum 20 entries per day / 200 lines including monthly share of entries/lines Customs coordination and facilitation Client service – Internal and External Administration of all work processed Qualifications Required Matric NCFF (NQF ¾), FIATA Diploma advantageous Logistics or similar degree/diploma advantageous .
