Overview PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) & CAD Administrator role to support TRIZ engineering operations from the Cape Town office. You will manage, maintain, and optimize PLM and CAD systems, collaborating with global IT and engineering teams in the U.S. and Costa Rica. The PLM environment is multi-location and multi-country, requiring coordination across distributed infrastructure, user bases, and compliance requirements. The Role We are seeking a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) & CAD Administrator to support TRIZ engineering operations from our Cape Town office. You will manage, maintain, and optimize our PLM and CAD systems, working closely with global IT and engineering teams in the U.S. and Costa Rica. You will provide hands-on, end-user support and contribute to advanced IT and engineering initiatives, including AI-driven engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain PLM and CAD environments to ensure stability and performance. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, workflows, and CAD integrations. Partner with engineering teams to recommend process and efficiency improvements. Deploy and manage upgrades, patches, and updates. Track and optimize engineering software license usage. Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, and training materials. Collaborate with U.S. and Costa Rica-based IT and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve systems. Support advanced IT and engineering initiatives, including AI, digital transformation, and process automation projects. Stay current with PLM/CAD advancements, best practices, and IT infrastructure trends. Qualifications Required: Associate or BA/BS degree in Computer Science (or related field). Strong knowledge of PLM and CAD systems (any platform). Proficiency in system troubleshooting, upgrades, and performance optimization. Solid understanding of IT systems, networking, and security principles. Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Solid understanding of PC hardware, peripherals, and mobile devices. A collaborative team player committed to continuous learning. Preferred: Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology. Hands-on experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter. PLM/CAD certification (Siemens or equivalent). Experience supporting engineering teams in a product development environment. Experience with Teamcenter Change Management and Workflows. Experience with managing multi-site environments. Additional Requirements Ability to collaborate continuously with the U.S. and Costa Rica central teams (flexible scheduling may be required). Ability to operate effectively in a multi-location, multi-country PLM deployment, including managing distributed users, infrastructure, and compliance requirements.
