The HR Business Partner (HRBP) Foundry Operations serves as the dedicated HR partner to plant management, providing operational HR support with a strong focus on Industrial and Employee Relations. This role works closely with line management to ensure effective workforce management, sound labour relations practices, compliance with MEIBC Main Agreement provisions, and accurate HR reporting. The HRBP acts as a trusted advisor to operational leadership while ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies within a highly unionised environment. The position is execution-focused and plant-based, supporting day-to-day IR and shopfloor recruitment requirements aligned to business objectives. Duties: Industrial & Employee Relations (Core Focus); Labour Relations & Union Engagement; Recruitment & Selection (Shopfloor); Employment Equity & Compliance; HR Reporting & Workforce Analytics; Operational HR Partnership KPI''s: CCMA referrals and successful case outcomes Stable union relationships and reduced escalation Fair, compliant, and EE-aligned shopfloor recruitment processes Accurate and timely statutory submissions (EE) Quality and accuracy of HR reporting Consistent application of disciplinary standards across departments Position Requirements ▪ Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Human Resources / Labour Relations or related field. ▪ Minimum 5+ years HR experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment / foundry or metals industry preferred. ▪ Proven experience managing multiple unions within a single plant. ▪ Strong practical knowledge of the MEIBC Main Agreement. ▪ Experience representing the employer at CCMA or Bargaining Council. ▪ Proven experience managing shopfloor recruitment processes. ▪ Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA) Salary - R600 - R700 000pa CTC
