We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Debtors Clerk to join our team in Observatory, Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised professional with strong communication and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Requirements: Previous experience as a Debtors Clerk (preferred) Experience managing a debtors' book Ability to establish and maintain positive client relationships, both internally and externally Experience contacting customers regarding outstanding accounts Ability to handle difficult customer interactions professionally and calmly Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective questioning and negotiation skills Excellent time management and organisational abilities Deadline-driven with a strong sense of accountability High level of attention to detail and accuracy Team player with a collaborative approach Basic accounting knowledge will be advantageous Ability to work under pressure and manage stress effectively Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to change Capable of working independently as well as under supervision Strong prioritisation and workload management skills Assertive and confident in managing collections processes Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets and meet deadlines Nice to Have: Diploma in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate is well-organised, proactive, and customer-focused, with the ability to balance relationship management and debt collection responsibilities effectively.
