Introduction The Senior Project Engineer leads the design and execution of grid-tied and hybrid solar PV projects (100kW–50MW). This role blends technical expertise with project management, overseeing all phases from feasibility to handover. It includes mentoring engineers, engaging with EPCs and clients, and ensuring project quality. The role also supports strategic goals like design standardization, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance. Duties & Responsibilities Lead design of grid-tied and hybrid PV systems, including sizing, costing, and optimization. Review EPC technical submissions, BOQs, and yield assumptions. Ensure compliance with SANS, NRS, IEC, and Grid Code standards. Conduct site and grid assessments with full feasibility analysis. Oversee preparation of SLDs, layouts, and technical documentation. Incorporate HSE best practices into all engineering designs. Serve as technical lead throughout the project lifecycle, supporting procurement and construction. Liaise with clients, EPCs, suppliers, and regulators as the main technical contact. Mentorship & Development Desired Experience & Qualification Degree in Electrical Engineering, other qualifications will be considered with the right experience. Engineering design and project implementation of PV systems 100kW. Experience in technical leadership or project management within EPC/IPP sector. Strong knowledge of PV system design (DC & AC up to 1500V, MV, LV) Experience with hybrid systems, genset integration, and BESS Familiar with grid integration and utility compliance (Eskom, NERSA, municipalities) Proficient in PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp; other PV/BESS tools a plus Package & Remuneration R 900 000 - R 1.1 million per annum (depending on experience and qualifications). #J-18808-Ljbffr
