Safari JOBS is searching for an experienced and polished Senior Lodge Reservationist to join an exceptional luxury safari environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident reservations professional who understands that the guest journey begins long before arrival. In this role, the successful candidate will be part of a world‑class hospitality setting where every enquiry, booking, email, telephone call, payment detail, special request, and guest interaction contributes to creating an unforgettable safari experience. Responsibilities Log and respond to enquiries by phone and e‑mail, making reservations in accordance with agreed turnaround guidelines Provide accurate and relevant information about room options, availability, packages and specials Check availability of accommodation on guests’ desired travel dates Ensure reservations are handled in accordance with company minimum standards for turnaround/confirmation and follow‑up Follow up on provisional reservations Issue invoices, process payments and send confirmation details to guests Book federal air flights and road transfers for guests as required Resolve any issues that may arise with reservations Support guests who need to amend or cancel a reservation Collaborate with lodge operations to resolve booking issues, such as cancellations, delays, or overbooking Ensure all guest requests such as booking excursions, treatments, etc. are actioned and accurately detailed Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing guest concerns, feedback, and special requests Update and maintain the client database Create and update guest profiles for identified VIP and repeat clients Maintain an excellent rapport with guests and greet guests on arrival at the property Host site visits for trade and special function stays Qualifications Clear criminal record Excellent employment track record – references will be verified Excellent English fluency (written and verbal) At least 3 years’ experience in a similar appointment with specific reservations experience in the safari lodge industry Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent computer skills and sound knowledge of lodge reservations systems Excellent financial awareness Personal approach and high level of customer service and support Sense of ownership and pride for the guest experience Excellent telephone and email manner Excellent communicator High sense of responsibility Proactive and committed to the business’s interests Work independently and under own initiative Team oriented and a team player Work well under pressure and naturally go the extra mile Able to multi‑task Strong organisational and administrative skills Plan and organise effectively Flexible manner and willingness to assist Perform job functions with attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy Assertive and proactive Willingness to learn A sense of fun and understanding of the company way of doing things Realistic expectations of bush life Benefits Permanent employment with opportunities for growth within a globally recognised 5* hospitality company Package comprising a basic salary (negotiable DOE and qualifications) plus the following compounded compensation and benefits: share of gratuities left by guests; 1% of company revenue gratuity; 20 bed nights for family and friends annually at an exceptionally reduced rate Medical aid – company contribution of 50% Pension fund – company contribution of 50% Two free gym memberships Accommodation: live‑in, own bathroom and bedroom with basic furnishings (possibility of sharing kitchen/living areas – to be confirmed) Food allowance of R2,514.00 in addition to the salary, ordered through company Uniform allowance Work cycle: 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off #J-18808-Ljbffr
