Job Description This position plays a critical role in supporting and leading technical initiatives across process automation, control systems, and mechanical integration, with a strong focus on rotating equipment. Design, implement, and maintain Process Automation Systems (PAS), including both hardware and software. Develop and review control system architecture, high-level designs, detailed cabinet layouts, and instrumentation schematics. Provide technical support for rotating machinery and associated control systems. Collaborate across disciplines to optimise system performance, reliability, and safety. Lead or support system commissioning, testing, and validation. Interpret and generate technical documentation, including P&IDs, control logic, and wiring diagrams. Apply critical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve complex system faults. Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety guidelines, and internal engineering quality procedures. Qualifications BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Professional registration with ECSA (or working toward it) would be advantageous. Skills Minimum 3 years experience in control systems or process engineering in petrochemical or chemical environments. Strong working knowledge of rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines). Hands-on experience with PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and control hardware/software. Experience with electrical cabinet design and instrumentation layout. Proficiency in engineering design tools (AutoCAD, MATLAB, EPLAN, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking ability, and accountability. Valid Drivers License.
