We are seeking a skilled API Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance APIs that power our applications and integrations. You will play a key role in shaping scalable backend services, ensuring seamless data exchange between systems, and optimizing performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs Build scalable, secure, and high-performing backend services Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and third-party integrators Ensure API performance, reliability, and scalability through testing and monitoring Implement authentication and authorization (e.g., OAuth, JWT) Create and maintain API documentation (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI) Troubleshoot and resolve API issues, ensuring minimal downtime Optimize APIs for performance, latency, and scalability Stay up to date with best practices in API architecture and microservices Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in API development (typically 2–5+ years) Strong experience with backend languages (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, .NET) Experience designing RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus) Knowledge of microservices architecture Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) Understanding of API security best practices Experience with version control (Git) Strong problem-solving and debugging skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
