ROLE PURPOSE To provide Industrial Relations expertise & ensure relevant legislative adherence. MAIN OUTPUTS Manage relationships with unions & ensure that the Company's treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives. Maintain knowledge of related rules and regulations, including all applicable Labour laws, to ensure adherence to compliance and meet reporting requirements. Collaborate with different business areas to provide employees, employee representatives and management with knowledge and awareness of relevant laws, associated regulations as well as requirements. Act as the custodian of all internal industrial relations-oriented Company policies and procedures ensuring that such are always seamlessly implemented and legally compliant Monitor Company adherence to relevant labour legislation (LRA, EEA, BCEA, OHSA etc) through both the development and implementation of all industrial relations-oriented policies, procedures and internal documentation. Tend to all internal training of Company policies and procedures, industrial relations-oriented employee correspondence and CCMA cases Prepare bundles for all CCMA and Bargaining Council matters Represent area of responsibility at the Bargaining Council and with associated CCMA processes to effectively resolve disputes. Resolving employee disputes, including union negotiations, strikes, mutual interest disputes, wage negotiations, section 189/ 197 processes and mutual separation agreements, through consultation and act as a mediator to harmonize working relations. Monitor and advise business on shop floor industrial or employee relations environment. Advise on adherence to labour legislation, conditions of employment and other related industrial matters and highlight potential risks. Represent the organization in conducting client specific union and employee-related negotiations, monthly workplace meetings and union meetings; facilitating a favorable outcome for the organization. Maintain accurate records & compile reports: Learning & Development & ER activities Stay abreast with the applicable labor statutes: LRA, BCEA & SDA QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS The Applicant must meet the following requirements: National Diploma in Human Resources Management and/or Industrial Psychology preferable Registration with SABPP (advantageous) Matric (Senior Certificate) Valid SA Drivers’ License 10 years’ experience in Industrial Relations or within the People Management field Labour Legislation MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), Sound knowledge of applicable HC legislation: LRA, EEA, BCEA, SDA FUNDAMENTAL COMPETENCIES Initiative/Proactivity Deadline Driven & Highly Motivated Stress Tolerant Excellent Written Communication Customer Focus Co-ordination, Planning & Scheduling Problem Analysis People Development Teamwork & Partnering Relationship Building Interactive Reasoning Excellent Oral Communication #J-18808-Ljbffr
