As Head of Finance, you will serve as a key member of the executive team, responsible for the full financial function of the operation. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the full finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Provide strategic financial insights and partner with operational leadership to drive performance and cost optimisation. Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and all statutory requirements within the mining industry. Oversee financial controls, risk management, and governance frameworks. Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance team. Manage stakeholder engagement, including auditors, financial institutions, and board‑level reporting. Education BCom in Accounting or related field (minimum requirement). Completed SAICA Articles (non‑negotiable). CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous. Experience Minimum 8–10 years’ post‑article experience in finance. Proven experience within the mining, resources, or heavy industrial sector. Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams. Strong background in financial reporting, compliance, and strategic finance. Skills Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong Microsoft Excel and financial modelling capabilities. Solid knowledge of IFRS and mining‑related regulatory frameworks.
