Scaffolding Department Foreman Location: UAE Middle East - DubaiContract Duration: One-Year ContractIndustry: Construction / Scaffolding Job Purpose The Scaffolding Department Foreman is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of scaffolding teams and ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely installation, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures on construction sites. The role requires strong leadership, technical scaffolding expertise, and strict adherence to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards.Key Accountabilities Team Leadership Lead and supervise scaffolders and yard operatives on-site. Allocate daily tasks and monitor team productivity. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to improve team performance. Project Coordination Coordinate scaffolding activities with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors. Ensure scaffolding works are completed according to project timelines, specifications, and safety requirements. Safety Compliance Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site. Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and regular inspections. Ensure compliance with company QHSE policies and UAE safety regulations. Quality Assurance Conduct inspections to ensure scaffolding structures meet design specifications and industry standards. Implement corrective actions where deficiencies are identified. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise scaffolding installation, modification, and dismantling activities. Ensure safe work practices and proper use of PPE at all times. Coordinate workforce and equipment requirements with project teams. Conduct quality inspections and maintain accurate site records. Report incidents, safety concerns, delays, and operational challenges. Minimum Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent. Scaffolding certification or vocational training advantageous. Experience Minimum 46 years scaffolding experience. At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience working on large-scale construction or industrial projects preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, materials, and erection methods. Ability to read and interpret scaffolding drawings and specifications. Knowledge of scaffolding safety standards and inspection requirements. Soft Skills Leadership and team management abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
