About the Role As a Risk Management Analyst you’ll support the administration of the enterprise risk management system and associated responsibilities to help Betway Africa stay ahead of the game. Responsibilities Maintenance and administration of the enterprise risk management system (ERMS) including data entry where required, and tracking and updating of risk registers to ensure quality information. Support the maintenance of the Risk Register, ensuring risks are clearly articulated, assessed, and linked to controls and mitigations. Coordinate and schedule meetings, administer and support the Enterprise Risk Management Team with the development of training materials to promote risk awareness. Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of key controls. Support the development and maintenance of risk management documentation, policies and procedures. Maintain and organize electronic and physical files related to enterprise risk management activities, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility. Support various risk owners and risk champions in identifying, analysing risk and control information and ensuring risks are appropriately documented. Support risk and control owners in accurately documenting the control environment for accurate risk assessments. Plan and coordinate Risk Governance and Committee activities. Prepare and maintain committee packs, agendas, risk dashboards, and minutes. Track actions, decisions, and follow‑ups arising from committee meetings. Assist the Risk Management Specialist with ensuring that risk management processes are appropriately enforced in line with policies and procedures. Regularly review information held on the risk management system to identify issues with quality and work with the business to improve accuracy. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and compile risk‑related information and reports and assist in the dissemination of information as required. Engage with the Risk Management System support for effective ERM tool operation and resolution of related requests or issues. Assist the team in identifying future enhancements and resolving problems with the enterprise risk management system. Provide general administrative support to the Risk Management Specialist and the larger Enterprise Risk Management Team, where required. Support risk owners in identifying and monitoring key risk indicators (KRIs). Stay up to date with risk management frameworks, regulatory updates, and industry best practices. Perform other duties as reasonably required to support effective management of enterprise risks and contribute to overall success and maturity of the risk management function. Essential Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively. Experience working collaboratively in cross‑functional teams, focusing on shared goals. Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously with a track record of delivery on time and within scope. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs. Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations. BComm in Internal/External Audit (preferred), Law, or related fields, or certifications in Risk Management. 2+ years of proven experience in a risk management or audit environment. Knowledge of enterprise risk management principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications for data entry, document management, and report generation. Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity of information. Desirable Skills In‑depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends. Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations. Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards. Experience using ERM software. Postgraduate certification or diploma in Risk Management. ISO31000 certification.
