About the Role We are looking for a highly capable Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative Integrove family. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands‑on Azure infrastructure experience who can work across cloud platforms, software delivery, DevOps, and data‑focused environments. You should be comfortable speaking to Azure infrastructure design, deployment, governance, security, monitoring, optimisation, and best practices. You should also understand how cloud platforms support modern software solutions and be able to work closely with development teams. The project has a strong data platform focus, so exposure to Azure Data Factory , Azure SQL , and Databricks concepts would be highly beneficial. What You’ll Be Doing A day in the life of an Azure Cloud Platform Engineer: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable Azure cloud infrastructure. Manage Azure environments across compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and security. Create cloud solutions aligned to client requirements and business goals. Advise clients on Azure architecture, infrastructure deployment, optimisation, governance, and best practices. Work closely with development teams building modern web, mobile, integration, and data‑driven applications. Contribute to DevOps pipelines, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD practices. Build and maintain frameworks for software and application deployment. Support platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, and maintainability. Participate in architecture workshops, solution design discussions, and technical planning sessions. Work with cloud data and integration services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, and Databricks concepts. Stay ahead of emerging cloud, DevOps, automation, AI, and AIOps trends. Explore and contribute to modern engineering capabilities including AI accelerators and intelligent operations. Required Skills and Experience We are looking for a strong technical all‑rounder with Azure infrastructure expertise, DevOps capability, software engineering understanding, and exposure to data platform workloads. Essential skills: Strong competency in Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure. Hands‑on experience deploying, configuring, managing, and supporting Azure environments. Ability to speak confidently about Azure infrastructure design, deployment, and management. Understanding of Azure networking, compute, storage, identity, monitoring, security, governance, and cost management. Experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD, automation, and source control. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar. Ability to create solution designs and contribute to architecture discussions. Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and clients. Solid understanding of software engineering principles and modern application deployment. Passion for learning and exploring emerging technologies. Technical Experience 5+ years’ experience in one or more of the following roles: Software Engineer with strong cloud and DevOps exposure Infrastructure Engineer with strong Azure experience Experience or working knowledge in software development would be beneficial, especially in: .NET Java React Angular Experience with the following would be advantageous: Git GitHub GitHub Actions Databricks concepts Data integration patterns Cloud data platform operations Qualifications and Certifications Required: Relevant tertiary qualification such as: BSc Computer Science B.IT Informatics or a related technology qualification Microsoft Azure certification or equivalent practical Azure experience.
