We're Hiring | Commissioning Supervisor (BESS) | 3 Positions Available OCA has three open positions for experienced Electrical Engineers to join utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects across South Africa as on‑site Commissioning Supervisors. Open Positions — Site Locations: Various Locations in the Northern Cape. This is a critical role. You will be the Employer's technical representative on the ground during the transition from construction to live operations — overseeing cold and hot commissioning, Grid Code Compliance testing, RETEC certification, and Performance Guarantee Tests from start to finish. What we're looking for: Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years' experience in renewables Hands‑on commissioning experience on utility‑scale projects BESS experience is a strong advantage Familiar with electrical BoP, Grid Code compliance, and RETEC processes South African Grid Code and Eskom experience highly desirable Comfortable working full‑time on‑site in a remote location What the role involves: You will supervise and certify commissioning activities, review and approve ITRs, attend FATs, liaise directly with Eskom, the Lender's Technical Advisor, and the Independent Engineer, and support the Employer through to Provisional Acceptance.
