Essential Skills: Strong understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals, routing, and firewall security architectures Deep troubleshooting skills across systems, networks, and applications (handling complex, multi-layered issues) Solid programming skills (Python preferred) Experience building integrations with APIs, databases, and network devices Experience delivering and maintaining complex software solutions, including custom extensions and automation Hands-on operations experience: patching, monitoring, log analysis, performance optimization Strong understanding of REST APIs, scripting, and automation frameworks Exposure to enterprise governance processes (incident, change, problem management) Advantageous Skills: Experience with firewall rule management platforms (Tufin preferred) Strong Linux experience and additional scripting (Bash, JavaScript, etc.) Experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) Experience coordinating work with external service providers Ability to analyse complex environments and propose improvements and automation opportunities Strong communication skills (simplifying technical topics for non-technical stakeholders) Agile methodologies and release management experience Role & Responsibilities: Operate, maintain, and enhance the firewall rule management platform (commercial and custom-built components) Develop platform components, integrations, and automation workflows (Python, APIs, database queries, etc.) Perform complex troubleshooting across networking, application logic, and system components Coordinate, delegate, and technically guide external providers Ensure platform stability through patching, monitoring, performance tuning, and proactive risk identification Prepare environments and perform go-live activities, including post-deployment support Maintain high-quality documentation (technical specs, procedures, training material) Participate in problem, change, and incident management processes Engage with users and stakeholders (including international teams) as technical owner Participate in standby, shift, and after-hours operational activities when required Travel internationally for up to two weeks at a time when needed Implement and maintain internal controls aligned with policies and procedures Remain flexible in taking on different tasks within the project or environment Qualifications & Experience: Relevant technical degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent Strong candidates with diplomas will be considered with proven hands-on experience 5+ years experience in complex technical environments Demonstrated hands-on capability through real-world problem solving and technical delivery
