This role is for an onsite Senior Support Engineer based onsite at the Clients premises 5 days a week. (Monday -Friday) What You’ll Do As a Support Technician at Gravi8, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional IT support to our clients. Your responsibilities will include: Key Responsibilities IT Operations & Support: Provide day‑to‑day IT support across the organization. Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests. Maintain system uptime, performance, and reliability. Provide after‑hours support in the event of critical outages or failures. Infrastructure & Systems Administration: Administer and maintain Linux servers. Perform system hardening, patch management, and performance monitoring. Troubleshoot system and service‑related issues. Manage Windows Servers and workstations. Oversee Active Directory, Group Policies, and user management. Ensure server and endpoint security compliance. Manage devices, compliance policies, and application deployments. Enforce endpoint configuration standards and security baselines. Networking & Security Infrastructure: Configure and manage network infrastructure, including VLAN segmentation. Administer and maintain pfSense firewalls (Firewall rule configuration & policy enforcement, NAT, routing, traffic management, VPN configuration & maintenance, IDS/IPS and security monitoring, high‑availability firewall configurations). Manage OpenSSL‑based VPN infrastructure. Support and maintain NetBoot environments. Administer UniFi networking systems (switches, access points, controllers). Ensure secure, stable, and high‑performing network connectivity. High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Manage HA systems and failover configurations. Design, execute, and document DR testing. Ensure business continuity measures are tested and validated. Maintain DR documentation in line with compliance standards. Compliance & Certification Management: Maintain ISO AS900 certification requirements. Ensure CE+ certification compliance. Prepare for and support quarterly and bi‑annual audits. Maintain regulatory and technical compliance documentation. Implement and monitor IT governance and security controls. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present monthly IT performance and compliance reports to management. Maintain detailed infrastructure, network, and security documentation. Track risk, incidents, remediation efforts, and system metrics. Procurement & Asset Management: Create and manage purchase orders for software, licensing, and infrastructure. Manage vendor relationships and renewal cycles. Track licensing compliance and asset lifecycle management. Project Management: Lead infrastructure upgrades and network rollouts. Plan and implement system migrations and improvements. Manage project timelines, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. Security & Patch Management: Ensure timely application of security patches and updates across servers, endpoints, and network devices. Maintain vulnerability remediation processes. Enforce security best practices and compliance standards. Required Skills & Experience Strong Windows Server and workstation administration experience. Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery environments. Experience supporting ISO compliance and audit processes. Familiarity with CE+ certification requirements. Strong documentation, reporting, and project management skills. Afterhours duty only on the basis if and when required but this will be arranged beforehand. Networking and Security (Configure and manage network infrastructure including VLANs, switches, routing, firewalls, policies etc.) System and Hardware Management (Spec, build, configure, administer and maintain server hardware, both Linux and Windows) Software and Licensing (Manage and automate software installations, renewals, licensing compliance, updates, security, etc.) Backup and Disaster Recovery (Manage and monitor Acronis, perform backup scheduling and reporting, continuous improvement etc.) User and Access management (Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, access policies, groups, etc.)Compliance and governance (Draft, review and enforce IT Policies, procedures and documentation. Ensure CE+ compliance, etc.) Must Have Clean criminal record – This will be checked.
