Role Summary The main responsibility of the Technician is to perform high quality repairs and maintenance. The Technician’s competencies and continuous improvement of technical knowledge and skills, combined with a commercial mind‑set, ensure high level performance and customer satisfaction. Satisfied customers, on‑time delivery and safety at work are achieved by following defined processes, standards and guidelines. The Technician contributes to Scania’s profitability and safety on our roads. Job Responsibilities Before Maintenance or Repair Event – secure that the right information, tools and spare parts are available. During Maintenance or Repair Event – perform maintenance or repair on time in a correct and safe way using well‑known working methods and standards. After Maintenance or Repair Event – secure minimized lead time of invoicing, provide clear description of performed work and communicate what needs to be done if the work is handed over to a colleague. Applicant must meet these minimum requirements Matric certificate or N3 or equivalent. Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade Test Certificate. Minimum of 3 years experience (not negotiable). Previous workshop experience with repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles.
