Overview: Our client is a leading South African fashion retailer with a well-established reputation in the clothing retail industry. The organisation operates in a fast-paced retail environment and is known for its focus on quality, customer experience, and operational excellence within the fashion and retail space. They are looking for a Data Capturer to form an integral part of the company’s Africa Design Division and is responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions. Attention to detail is a key function in this role and the ability to work methodically and under pressure to meet deadlines. Responsibilities: Capturing of invoices from suppliers Effectively and efficiently reconcile invoices to purchase orders Ensure invoices are submitted for payment within agreed timelines Ensure credit notes are captured Follow up on outstanding invoices from the relevant buyer Manage and correct allocated stock against cancelled and delivered jobs Requirements: Matric plus relevant work experience Although not required, preference will be given to an individual with the following experience:Manufacturing/retail experience Accounting knowledge Understanding of costs in manufacturing process, i.e. budget vs actual Skills: Excellent Excel knowledge is essential A systems driven individual that can work independently and has excellent problem solving skills Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), Knowledge of Oracle and Sync Systems (Preferable) Ability to interact confidently with the design team and third party manufacturers Capable to meet tight deadlines/work under pressure Competent to independently liaise with suppliers resolving queries professionally Ability to co-ordinate and complete month-end functions timeously Ability to work as part of team Prioritise work appropriately
