This role involves:Reviewing key processes such as cash handling, stock management, food safety, waste control, asset management and service standardsPerforming corporate audits encompassing finance, HR, payroll, procurement, and compliance functionsAssessing the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommending improvements to mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risksReviewing key performance indicators to validate the accuracy and reliability of financial and operational dataEnsuring compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable South African regulatory requirementsSupporting management in developing risk management frameworks and the annual internal audit planAssisting with investigations into irregularities, suspected fraud, and policy breaches Skills & Experience: Minimum 3+ years internal auditing experience (preferably within the Hospitality, Retail, or FMCG)Strong knowledge of South African legislation, including the Companies Act, VAT Act, Labour Laws, and Food Safety RegulationsProficiency in Microsoft Office, auditing software, and data analytics toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teamsValid drivers license and willingness to travel to locations as required Qualification: B.Com Accounting (or similar)Completed Articles OR CIA and CISA certificate (advantageous) For more information connect with us on
