Key Objectives: Design, develop implement, test, maintain and enhance dynamic and interactive E-Business systems within an open source environment (PHP, MYSQL, Java Script, HTML etc) according to applicable legislation and standards. Upgrade existing applications, components, and E-Commerce systems in order to continuously align them with new technology. Document the web application development process, and draw, implement and maintain a complete and thorough documentation for all back-end systems. Implement user-friendly interfaces for the website and enhance the user experience (UX) of all E-Commerce systems. Improve the site for search engine optimisation and increase online rating. Address technical queries from public and provide support to website users. Serve as a contingency for Senior Web Developer on the implementation of technical applications. Requirements: BSc in Computer Science or equivalent. 3 to 6 years Web development using open source technologies based on Linux, PHP (SOAP & AJAX), MySQL, etc. Knowledge of latest web development trends and technologies. Programming methods, procedures and standards. Network and operating system infrastructure. Database design and administration. Code repository systems. Graphic design.
