We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager – Comminution to take ownership of the design, development, and continuous improvement of systems that thrive in the world’s most demanding mining environments. Core Responsibilities In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical design excellence and strategic leadership: Product Development: Lead the end‑to‑end design and development of crushing equipment and integrated systems. Technical Oversight: Oversee 3D modelling, detailed design drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs are robust, manufacturable, and strictly aligned with mining and international engineering standards. Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent design projects from initial concept through to production release. Risk & Quality: Lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and technical risk assessments to ensure operational reliability. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing teams to solve DFM (Design for Manufacturing) challenges and improve production efficiency. Lifecycle Management: Own engineering documentation, configuration control, and product lifecycle records while driving value engineering and cost optimisation. Field Support: Provide technical guidance for commissioning, field service, and aftermarket issues when required. Requirements Education: BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Experience: 8–10 years of mechanical or structural design experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or lead engineering capacity. Sector Knowledge: A strong background in mining equipment, specifically within crushing, processing, or materials handling. Technical Proficiency: Mastery of CAD (3D modelling and drafting) is essential; FEA experience and structural design principles are highly advantageous. Operational Insight: Proven experience across the full value chain—from design and manufacturing to field service environments.
