Purpose: To ensure the safety of personnel, property and assets by preventing security breaches, detecting potential risks and responding to incidents.Key duties: Ensure that only authorised persons are granted access to site Conduct patrols within the premises to check for suspicious activity, unlocked doors, or safety hazards Conduct general surveillance to identify unusual or risky behaviour Respond to emergencies as required respond to fires, medical emergencies, or security breaches, and initiating evacuation procedures if needed Compile incident reports, as required Minimum requirements: Valid PSIRA Grade C registration (or higher) Valid drivers license Valid handgun competency Minimum two years experience as an Armed Officer Competencies: Ability to communicate fluently in English Ability to work under pressure Physical and medical fitness Propensity to be trained as a first aider
