Our client, a well‑established organisation operating within the automotive and retail industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Battery Fitment / Salesman to join their team. based in Maitland, Cape Town. Requirements Matric Certificate in Sales or relevant fields (NQF 5) Up to 3 years as a Sales Representative or similar role within the Retail environment Computer Literacy (Basic MS Office; and SAP, ERP Systems and other job‑specific software systems) Knowledge of Sales principles, practice and procedures Communication skills (both verbal and written) Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) Sales Operations Actively sources new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve departmental goals and targets Increases company revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services Actively research competition and monitors market activities Forecasts sales, develops sales strategies and evaluates their effectiveness Evaluates needs and builds productive relationships with customers Tracks daily / weekly / monthly sales and targets Maintains and grows client base within the relevant area of sales Attends meetings, sales events and training Canvasses and opens new customer accounts Monitors monthly sales per customer Extracts daily sales information from ERP systems and implements action plans where necessary Provides monthly feedback to the Regional Manager Introduces marketing and promotional ideas and aligns with company strategy Hosts trade evenings and promotional events Initiates and monitors promotional activities Assists with the credit application process Works with Debtors to ensure collection of outstanding monies Ensures outstanding debtors are kept within required timelines Assists in resolving customer queries Manages high‑risk customer accounts in collaboration with Debtors Ensures company vehicles and equipment are maintained Attends monthly meetings with Regional Manager Stock Control Liaises with Warehouse to ensure availability of stock Assists with consignment stock processes Monitors customer buying patterns for stock forecasting Monitors stock rotation and replenishment Monitors claims stock Assists customers in managing their stock levels Compliance Operates within company controls and procedures Reports risks or areas of concern to management Promotes compliance with regulations and procedures Customer Service Maintains effective working relationships with customers and employees Identifies and solves problems with integrity Ensures customer queries are followed up and resolved Provides product presentations and training to customers Assists with maintaining and updating customer information Provides customers with POS material and product support Updates customer database with new and existing information Cost Control Supports effective use of financial and operational resources Ensures correct pricing structures are in place Monitors gross profit and implements corrective action where necessary Reduces operational costs and unnecessary expenditure Reports deviations from budgetary limits #J-18808-Ljbffr
