Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, and optimise emulsion explosive formulations for mining and blasting applications Conduct laboratory testing, quality analysis, and performance evaluations on explosive products and raw materials Troubleshoot product performance issues and recommend technical improvements based on field and laboratory data Work closely with clients to understand operational challenges and customise explosive solutions accordingly Conduct regular site visits to support product implementation, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance Analyse blast results, product behaviour, and operational data to drive continuous product improvement Collaborate with production, quality, and operational teams to ensure product consistency and compliance Investigate process deviations, equipment issues, and product anomalies within the laboratory and plant environment Compile technical reports, testing documentation, and product performance feedback Ensure compliance with SHE standards, quality systems, and sustainable operational practices Support training initiatives on product handling, application, and best practices Requirements ✔ BSc / BEng in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field ✔ 7+ years experience within explosives, emulsion technology, mining laboratories, or related environments ✔ Strong practical laboratory experience in explosive formulation, testing, and quality evaluation ✔ Experience working directly with mining clients and conducting technical site visits ✔ Knowledge of explosive manufacturing processes and product optimisation ✔ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
