The Position The Receptionist plays a key role for the Eday Surgery, undertaking duties that include using the clinical system for patient administration, taking calls and providing a welcoming environment. The Receptionist will be required to perform a wide range of administrative tasks with minimum supervision while ensuring workload is processed efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Use the clinical system for patient administration. Take and manage telephone calls. Provide a welcoming environment for patients and visitors. Perform a wide range of administrative tasks with minimum supervision. Process workload efficiently and effectively. The Candidate Confidentiality is a key element of the role as it involves dealing with sensitive information. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Previous experience dealing with the public is required. Location, Working Pattern and Contract Duration Post will be based at Eday GP Practice. Working pattern: Part Time, 9 hours per week. Contract: Permanent. Condition of employment: Must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post with NHS Orkney. Benefits And Salary Salary: Band 2, with a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,719 pro rata per annum if residing on Orkney.
