A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager: Pharmacist to oversee production operations within a highly regulated manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a registered Pharmacist with strong pharmaceutical production experience, sound GMP knowledge, and proven leadership capability within a sterile or aseptic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day production operations to ensure maximum output and efficiency• Ensure compliance with GMP, MCC/SAHPRA, QA processes, and SOP requirements• Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance, and validation activities• Manage production assets, consumables, and operational procurement needs• Compile and review production and management reports• Lead, coach, and develop production staff• Ensure compliance with OHSA and maintain a safe working environment• Develop and maintain SOPs and production-related documentation Minimum Requirements: • B.Pharm Degree• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist• Minimum 6 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry• At least 1 year exposure to aseptic processing• 2 years supervisory or management experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing• Strong understanding of GMP, sterilization methods, validations, and aseptic techniques• Computer literacy and sound general management capability Key Competencies: • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills• Excellent communication skills• Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability• Attention to detail• Financial and operational awareness
