Key Responsibilities Provide telephonic technical support to customers, including guidance on installation, operation, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems Log, track, and manage support calls, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution Monitor and report on company communications infrastructure performance and status Perform field repairs, maintenance, and installation of radio systems, including base stations and repeaters Ensure all work is completed according to company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements Travel nationally and internationally when required for installations and customer support Assist the Technical Manager and support other technical staff as needed Support the Sales and Marketing team during customer visits, demonstrations, and exhibitions Participate in after-hours standby support on a rotational basis Maintain a professional company image at all times Perform general administrative duties, including reporting, documentation, and record keeping Minimum Requirements Strong understanding of basic electronics principles Proven technical aptitude with ability to fault-find and repair electronic equipment Knowledge and experience in the security industry (especially alarm systems and control panels) Understanding of security control room operations and monitoring systems Basic knowledge of alarm communication systems and infrastructure Proficient in spoken English or Afrikaans Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude Competent computer skills, including:MS Office (especially Excel) Basic networking knowledge Strong administrative and reporting ability Valid drivers license and willingness to travel
