Our retail / FMCG client in Johannesburg is looking for a Category manager with 4-5 years’ experience in Buying and as a Category Manager within the convenient market food retail space. Salary Negotiable. Minimum Requirements: Relevant Qualification an added bonus 4-5 years’ experience as a category manager / buyer within the retail convenience market food space Proven buying experience within convenience market retail bakery and/or food categories at a manufacturer level (essential) Strong understanding of category management and commercial drivers – convenience market retail space Experience working across multi-site retail or food service environments Exposure to concept development and product innovation Packaging experience will be advantageous Job Responsibilities: Category Strategy & Execution Commercial & Buying – convenient market space Manage supplier relationships and negotiations Drive cost optimisation and margin improvement Product & Concept Development Multi-Site Performance roll out and Management Monitor performance across several outlets Support training and implementation of new initiatives #J-18808-Ljbffr
