Purpose of the Role We are looking for an experienced sales professional to take ownership of our business development activities across Southern Africa. You will further develop our existing customer base, acquire new customers, and open up additional markets. Combining strategic market development with hands‑on sales activities, you will act as the central point of contact for the region, supported by our international teams. Key Responsibilities 1. Customer Development and Market Expansion Maintain and develop existing customer relationships (key accounts and regional customers) Increase market share through targeted customer acquisition and development Conduct sales and price negotiations aligned with company strategy Prepare, manage, and follow up quotations and commercial proposals Acquire new customers and develop strategic partnerships Introduce and implement new products at existing and new customers Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive communication and coordination 2. Profitability and Commercial Performance Support and implement pricing, commercial conditions, and distribution strategies Ensure profitability optimization within the assigned region Coordinate and manage customer complaints in cooperation with internal departments Monitor payment behavior, credit limits, and outstanding receivables according to company policies Support budgeting and sales forecasting processes (short- and long‑term planning) Achieve defined sales and profitability targets and monitor performance 3. Market Development and Strategy Identify and develop new markets and business opportunities within Southern Africa Conduct market research and competitive analysis Support product portfolio and market strategy decisions Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry events Contribute to implementation of the company’s marketing strategy Identify market trends and initiate product development activities together with R&D Information Rights and Responsibilities The position holder is entitled to receive all relevant information required for successful execution of duties. The role requires proactive communication with management, colleagues, and relevant stakeholders. The position holder is responsible for ensuring transparent and timely information flow across departments.
